I’m not entered for the Marathon, do you have any guaranteed places?

No, unfortunately we do not have any entries for the Marathon. Ballot entries for 2019 are now closed but several charities are still looking for sponsorship volunteers for their Gold Bond places. Contact us and we will be able to advise you on which ones have vacancies. Ballot places for 2020 will be available once the 2019 event has finished.

I’ve got a Marathon place and I’ve already booked my hotel but the WRP Tour seems better suited to what I need. Do I need to book accommodation with you to take advantage of your facilities?

Yes. Our tour packages are all comprehensive.

I want to bring my family so they can see me run. Will they be looked after?

Yes of course. They can travel with you to the Start and take advantage of our complimentary escorted Spectator Service back into Central London. Later they can view the race along the Embankment where they can see you and possibly get a quick hug(!) They will then have time to walk to The Mall and meet up with you at the Finish.

I have some extra requirements in my party – is this a problem?

Generally no, but please contact us in good time and we can discuss your personal issues and recommend your best course of action. For example, it is not recommended that wheelchair users go on the walking tour(s) or to the start unless competing. Special dietary requirements can usually be met by all our hotels provided we are notified in advance.

Why do you generally offer 4* accommodation when all I want is a bed for the night?

We like to offer our guests comfortable night(s) away from home in a relaxing environment. We aim to consider both the runner and their supporters in making the weekend as enjoyable and memorable for everyone. We have a high percentage of repeat business so we know that this is appreciated.

I don’t want to book just yet - is that alright?

Of  course, as long as you remember that the longer you leave it the less choice you will have. We get particularly busy after Christmas. We would advise that you try to ‘beat the rush’ so that you can relax and enjoy the festive period and concentrate on your training in the New Year.

Do you require a payment now in full?

No. Just £100 per room will secure your booking with us if paid 56 days prior to the event. We will not be requiring any further payment until March though you can pay in instalments if this is more convenient for you.

What if I get injured before the Marathon?

If you advised us before the beginning of March, the most you would lose would be your deposit. From then on it’s a sliding scale up to the Marathon. (see our Terms and Conditions) For your peace of mind we strongly recommend that all our guests take out travel insurance to cover such an occurrence.
